Description
When we first launched the original Timberwolf frame, one of the first questions was “when will it be available in .45 ACP or 10mm?” That time is now, because we’ve revamped and upgraded the design to bring you the Timberwolf Large. The first thing you’ll notice is that the TWL fits in your hand like a much smaller pistol - in fact we measured the grip circumference of the most popular factory 9mm service pistol, and the Timberwolf Large was only .007" larger. That’s only the width of a couple of human hairs, giving you real .45 ACP or 10mm firepower in a 9mm sized package.

 

The grip length accept G20/G21 Gen3 and Gen4 slides, as well as G40 slides. The TWL uses G20/G21 magazines. When using a Gen4 slide you simply remove the installed adapter in the dust cover area of the frame. Using Gen3 slides you leave the adapter in place to fill the gap between the slide and dust cover. 

The Timberwolf Large is available in multiple configurations, all of which include the dust cover adapter, removable magazine well, and interchangeable backstraps. (TWL & TWF backstraps are interchangeable)

If purchasing a bare frame with parts kit the same parts are used but not installed, if you are using your own parts please note most parts are GEN3 parts except the magazine catch and trigger housing which requires a GEN4 style part.

*When swapping mag catch directions you must REMOVE the magazine catch spring, do NOT just pry the spring around the mag catch, frame damage will occur.

    A better G40

    I ordered this when I ordered my G40. I immediately swapped over the stock parts and mounted the slide. My new G40 has a grip angle that works perfectly for me, closer to the 1911. The Timberwolf quality and precision made the build simple. It has made the already great Glock G40 even better.

    Superior to SF OEM frame- cheaper than a reduction!

    I had 20 and 21 sf pistols I sold because the grips were too massive. I kept one with the thought I was going to send it off for reduction. Read up on the lone wolf large frame… Now I’m going to sell the Glock frame and stick with this one. It’s awesome and works great!! Fits my hand and is a third the cost of a reduction. Very happy!!

    I bought two large, bare Timberwolf frames. I built a G20 gen 4 and a G21 gen 4 using Glock OEM parts kits. All parts dropped right in and the guns function flawlessly. The grip on the new frame is nice, feels smaller than “SF” frames. Texture is good. Thanks LoneWolf!

    I have a large frame Glocks in both 45 and 10mm caliber. A G20, G41, and a full custom G20L. All three have the TWL frames. The grip is comfortable, fits better than the factory grip, has a slimmer dimension, and improved grip angle along the lines of a 1911. A quality product that was basically just replace the parts from the original to the TWL frame. Several boxes of ammunition later, both calibers, and 100% reliable. The mag well is also a benefit. Highly recommended if you have a Glock and wish to upgrade/customize.
