When we first launched the original Timberwolf frame, one of the first questions was “when will it be available in .45 ACP or 10mm?” That time is now, because we’ve revamped and upgraded the design to bring you the Timberwolf Large. The first thing you’ll notice is that the TWL fits in your hand like a much smaller pistol - in fact we measured the grip circumference of the most popular factory 9mm service pistol, and the Timberwolf Large was only .007" larger. That’s only the width of a couple of human hairs, giving you real .45 ACP or 10mm firepower in a 9mm sized package.

The grip length accept G20/G21 Gen3 and Gen4 slides, as well as G40 slides. The TWL uses G20/G21 magazines. When using a Gen4 slide you simply remove the installed adapter in the dust cover area of the frame. Using Gen3 slides you leave the adapter in place to fill the gap between the slide and dust cover.

The Timberwolf Large is available in multiple configurations, all of which include the dust cover adapter, removable magazine well, and interchangeable backstraps. (TWL & TWF backstraps are interchangeable)

No matter what your shooting goal is, the Timberwolf Large will fit your needs. Whether you want a gun for backwoods carry, a longslide for hunting, a slim and easy to carry .45 ACP for personal protection, or just want to build the coolest gun at the range, the Timberwolf Large can make your dreams come true.

Years in the making, the Timberwolf Large is here. The frame game will never be the same.

Assembled frames come with the following parts installed.

If purchasing a bare frame with parts kit the same parts are used but not installed, if you are using your own parts please note most parts are GEN3 parts except the magazine catch and trigger housing which requires a GEN4 style part.

    Outstanding!

Textured undercut frame with optional mag well, extended slide stop, 3.5 connector, Gen 4 mag release, choice of backstraps and adjustable trigger overtravel stop all included. Possibly the smallest diameter grip of any double stack 45 on the market, and all for $150! No brainer, extremely satisfied!

Love it. Now I just need more G20 uppers

Posted by Cash H on 5th Jun 2023

I absolutely love this frame. They go out of stock all the time, but I will never shoot another stock Glock 20 frame. This is my carry pistol in the backwoods and this frame has reduced my 15 yard group size by 40%. The frame fits my hands so much better and eliminates the finger grooves from the gen 3 or gen 4. Would definitely purchase again. Way more comfortable and controllable. @LoneWolf, why can’t you keep these in stock if the bare frames are in stock?? Or sell the bare frame plus parts kit at a discount when the built frame is out of stock?

Lone Wolf Large Lower for Glock 20

Posted by Christopher Fleming on 20th Mar 2023

So I have not taken this build to the range and fired it yet. It’s a Gen3 G20 upper on the LW large lower. Feels much better than stock lower and looks great. Trigger is a litter better on front side, not quite as good reset audible and feel as stock. Overall detail, quality, fit and finish are excellent. Fits perfectly with the gen 3 G20 upper.

    TWL LARGE/LARGE TEXTURED FRAME BUILT

Posted by Simon Willmore on 12th Mar 2023

Lone wolf customer services by jasonr is consistently excellent even though my two assembled large TWL textured frames (for LW 20L and Glock 21.4 slides) are almost perfect so I have no need of customer support for them. I have to nit pick to find following two criticisms: 1) the gen3/gen4 adaptor is made of semi-flexible plastic/polymer and it can be awkward to re-install after removal and 2) the adjustable travel screw was not pre-installed just shipped in plastic bag

    The obvious choice

Posted by another Mike on 2nd Mar 2023

Bought a G21 SF thinking the slim frame would be better suited for my medium-ish hands. Took the "L" on that one. I'm not one to do extreme modifications to any gun but in my frustration I took a chance on this frame. BIG DIFFERENCE! I also have a gen 5 G17 and I still prefer the grip on this frame. In fact, I regret even buying the gen 5. I would rather build a G17 starting with this frame.

Built frame for Glock G40 10mm

Posted by Mike on 4th Dec 2022

Long story short. Bought a Glock G40 10mm, thinking I'd like it. Didn't happen. Grip was too big. Checked out some diy videos, and other possible alternatives. Thought I might have to sell it. Started looking at Lone Wolf large frame. Hated to do it because if it didn't work out I'd be stuck with a gun and a frame registered as a firearm that I'd have to try to get rid of. Got the frame, handled it, much better. Took it out recently and shot it. Didn't use a bear load but, fairly stout factory load. It's GREAT! Fits my hands well, and just nice to shoot. If you get aG40 10mm, and don't like the way it fits, I suggest you try one of these before butchering up a good gun and regretting it.
