MIM (Metal Injection Molding) extractors are known to fail when subjected to direct impact.  Glock factory certified Armorers warn shooters: NEVER drop the slide on a loaded chamber, or risk imminent failure due to breakage. MIM extractors are documented as failing this test in a single use!

    I love these and put them in all my Glocks. I was one of the first customers to buy these when they were released. As a matter of fact they were only sold in polished steel at that time. I was excited when they released them in black nitride. After hundreds of rounds through 380, 9 and .40 I have not experienced any issues at all. I’m still in a habit of releasing the slide by pulling back on it first (old habit) but I’ve used the slide release to rack em’ with more confidence with these installed. I’ve never had an extractor break on me and I like the peace of mind that comes with having these in my Glocks. Is it a neccessary upgrade? No, not if you pull the slide back and release it forward to load your chamber. Yes, if you want your defensive gun to be as reliable as possible and trust it to save your life in a stressful situation. Confidence and trust go a long way!

    Product arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It was easy to install also. Nice finish and looks nice on my G27. I only gave it 4 stars because I have not shot it yet. It racks smoothly and I see no problems so far.
